Positioned toward the farther and quieter end of the main street, Kampai offers an intimate second-floor setup focused on niche house music. While the space has clear aesthetic appeal, the social dynamic is somehow isolated. Party-goers stick almost exclusively to their own friend circles rather than mingling, which can make the room feel closed off.
Door security and bouncers are present, keeping the entry controlled. However, because the second-floor layout is compact, the room gets congested quickly on peak nights, making movement through the crowd difficult or making the waiting time to go up long.
Pricing runs higher than neighboring alternatives. While their cocktails are decent, the food menu is the real standout, performing significantly better than standard bar food even if the final bill reflects the price.
It functions well as a spot to sit with an existing group for good food and house tracks, but the crowd and higher costs cap its total score at a neutral mid-tier.

Just went here once for a chill night-out, so overall, it’s a nice place to go to for something like that!

One of the more secure bars in Poblacion since the bouncers check everyone’s IDs and bags. However, it’s still prone to risk since it’s near the main highway and large crowds frequently pass through the area. It gets super crowded sometimes, thus it’s hard to move around and breathe, so you have to learn how to manage yourself properly in a crowd. Drinks are priced higher than the typical price range, especially liquor bottles, but they offer a good variety and the food is worth it as well. Vibes greatly depend on the day of the week (weekdays: foreigners, less people; weekends: very crowded especially in the dojo). Weekly rotation of DJs, promoters, and hosts ensure that there’s something for everyone.

Good music, mostly foreign crowd. Gets rlly tight especially upstairs, but the upstairs area is rlly nice. Bartenders are super nice and I love the bouncer. Smoking area is kinda small and weird tho since it’s aircon.
